Straight from the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Piff the Magic Dragon, along with his trusty sidekick, Mr. Piffles, will play two shows this month at the Scherr Forum, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

Performances are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 27.

Already a successful magician and performer in his own right, John van der Put adopted the stage persona of Piff the Magic Dragon in 2008.

As Piff, he combines smart, deadpan comedy with jaw-dropping magic tricks. Mr. Piffles, billed as the “first chihuahua in the world to do magic”, joins him.

Piff was a season 10 finalist on “America’s Got Talent” and recently competed on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”

He also appeared in “Penn and Teller: Fool Us” and performed at Radio City Music Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe, O2 Arena, Sydney Opera House and London Opera House.

Piff’s videos have racked up over 100 million views online and his show at the Flamingo in Las Vegas continues to draw fans from around the world.

Tickets for his Fun Size Tour are $44.50 and $54.50 and are available from Ticketmaster at or in person through the Bank of America Performing Arts Center box office.
