A new Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser ties Doctor Strange to WandaVision’s Scarlet Witch.

A new Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser has apparently confirmed a connection between Doctor Strange and WandaVision’s Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Video shows Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange was seen casting a spell using the runes.

Released on YouTube, the Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser begins with Spider-Man (Tom Holland) preparing for a fight scene but switches to a scene between Doctor Strange and Peter Parker. “Okay Parker, are you ready?” Doctor Strange asks as Spider-Man walks through a loop of portals. A bruised Peter reaches out to the world and says, “World, if you look, wish me luck?” ”

While these scenes had already been teased, the teaser included a new scene – showing Doctor Strange floating in the air and casting a spell as the runes surrounded him. The runes were first seen in WandaVision, released earlier this year.

Fans who have watched the series will recall that the runes were thrown by a wizard to prevent another wizard from using their powers. While the context is still unclear, it’s clear that Doctor Strange is aware of the runes and will even use them at some point in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

A connection between Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange was first teased in the WandaVision finale earlier this year. The end of the show, following Scarlet’s battle against Agatha Harkness, set Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Scarlet gets her hands on the Darkhold and learns all the tricks from the book.

Meanwhile, the Marvel Multiverse has also been teased in Loki this year. With the death of The One Who Remains, the multiverse unleashed, leaving Loki in an alternate universe. The Spider-Man: No Way trailers have also confirmed that the multiverse will be one of the central themes of the film. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as the title suggests, will also delve into the Multiverse.
