Some Tottenham Hotspur fans want the club to sell Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko after the latest report.
According to football.london, Tottenham are open to offers for the duo.
They endured frustrating campaigns for Spurs last season.
Winks started each of the first three games under Jose Mourinho, but he was benched as the year progressed.
However, the 25-year-old was brought back into the fold when Ryan Mason was placed in interim charge.
Meanwhile, the £ 30million Sissoko had 11 straight starts before sinking into the abyss.
The future of the two players is quite secure with the agreement of the England international to 10 caps expiring in 2024 and that of the French in 2023.
TBR View: Getting rid of Winks and Sissoko would be Tottenham madness
To get rid of both Winks and Sissoko in the same window would be insane for Tottenham.
Replacing one player would prove difficult in the current climate, but two could be nearly impossible.
Like all clubs, Spurs have taken a financial hit this year. And it will take a lot of money to replace either man with better quality players.
For example, Spurs would be for Franck Kessie, but a decision would require an offer of more than £ 40million.
It’s not like the Tottenham squad are balanced enough to sell one of the two.
Oliver Skipp, Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg are the only other realistic options in the central midfield. Skipp is only 20 years old and has little top-level experience, while Ndombele has yet to show his worth since moving.
Winks is a passing master who has shown this on numerous occasions in a Spurs jersey. He probably looks like he’s better with the ball than his Danish teammate, who is more of a tough tackler.
Aside from the 25-year-old, Spurs don’t really have a central player who plays the ball. That would make any sale a bewildering decision.
Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted …
Make them go. Aouar and Kessie or Sabitzer please. I want to see the players hold the jersey …

Nothing against these players but they need to move for their own careers

This is great until you remember that Levy always replaces them with someone cheaper.
