Tutankhamun’s warning IGNORED as 22 mummies moved around Cairo – worry over curse | World | New

Egypt transported 22 ancient pharaohs in a bizarre ceremony in Cairo yesterday. The ceremony marked the relocation of ancient mummies from a Cairo museum to a new location outside the city. The multi-million dollar event was an incredible sight, but ignored an old warning about moving mummies, and many fear the event may have resulted in a curse.

Among the procession were 22 mummies of 18 kings and four queens aboard spectacular golden trucks.

The ancient remains have been transported in the chronological order of their reigns – from the ruler of the 17th dynasty Seqenenre Taa II to Ramses IX, who reigned in the 12th century BC.

The lavish multi-million dollar spectacle saw the mummies moved from the peach-colored Neoclassical Egyptian Museum to their new resting place three miles south of Cairo.

The crowd watched the performers escort golden trucks designed to resemble graves as they transported the former royals to their new home.

But while the event was an incredible sight after months of Covid chaos across the country, many questioned the parade warning of an ancient rule that says you should never move a pharaoh’s body or you will face a curse.

Transporting the mummies – or “disturbing their peace” is warned at the tomb of King Tutankhamun. The warning reads: “Death will come on swift wings for those who disturb the peace of the king.”

Egypt has had its fair share of bad luck in recent months and will worry superstitious spirits who watched the event unfold.

Egypt has seen more than 12,000 deaths, lost billions of dollars in trade after the blockade of the Suez Canal by the cargo ship Ever Given and dozens of people tragically died in a train crash in Sohag, Upper Egypt earlier.

They added: “The Pharaoh’s curse was activated when they announced that they were going to transfer mummies to a new museum, including the mummy of King Ramasses.

“He was the strongest and most powerful pharaoh.”

But others were more positive.

One person said the show was “absolutely spectacular”.

Hideki Kamiya’s comments on Bayonetta 3

Since its official announcement in 2017, the news Bayonet 3 on the Nintendo Switch was nonexistent. It’s almost like the game is in development hell, but we’ll never know for sure. Hideki Kamiya of Platinum Games was recently interviewed and gave a glimpse of when we’ll hear any news on Bayonet 3.

VGC: Kamiya, here’s the inevitable Bayonetta 3 question: You were recently quoted as saying you’d like to provide a public update on the game this year. Is it correct?

Kamiya: “It’s not really our position to say, but… it’s January. We’ve got to get something out, don’t we? I guess it’s safe to expect something to come out. There are still a lot of years left, that’s what I’m saying.

VGC: By “update” do you mean something more substantial than another CGI logo??

Kamiya: “(Laughs) I understand that drives the fans crazy! In light of this my suggestion would be that maybe we should all reset and forget about Bayonetta 3. Then when something finally happens it will be a nice surprise, right?? “

Kamiya plays it very shyly here. He even suggests forgetting the whole game, which is insane given the hype surrounding him. Even VGC was somewhat amazed that we didn’t get anything beyond the game’s logo. Either way, Platinum Games is playing it very close to the vest when it comes to Bayonet 3. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon.

You will finally have the opportunity to face the most iconic villains of the wizarding world, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, Fenrir Greyback, Slytherin Basilisk and even Voldemort himself. But in order to reach the higher ranked enemies you will have to succeed in a series of battles, and if you lose one the chain is broken and you will have to start over.

By defeating each villain, you will get rewards such as Wizarding XP, Challenge XP, Defense Against the Dark Arts Books, and Fragments of Adversary Objects. The new Opponent Registry pages will have over 75 shiny new items to collect!

The adversaries will be divided into feared adversaries and deadly adversaries. Dreaded Opponents will appear randomly on the map or during new Opponent Events. They will include characters such as Draco Malfoy and Peter Pettigrew, and the series of battles to reach them will be easier than those of Lethal Adversaries.

Lethal Adversaries will feature characters like Bellatrix Lestrange and Dolores Umbridge, and of course, the game doesn’t give us all of them at once. Deadly opponents will initially only be encountered during special monthly events, and they will be phased into the game.

Stacking is free in December for Xbox Live Gold members

November has been an exciting month for video games, with many new trailers and announcements. Unfortunately, this is coming to an end. However, the good news is that there are new games that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to purchase in December.

RELATED: Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy to be Free in October for Xbox Live Gold Members

The list has just been published and one of the most classic games is Stacking, an adventure puzzle game originally released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2011. It will be available for members in the second half of December.

Stacking is an oldie, but definitely worth playing. The game features Russian stacking dolls that take many shapes and forms in the game. In fact, throughout your game, players have the chance to discover over 100 stacking dolls.

They have special abilities that you can play with to solve puzzles or find ways to advance through each stage. It’s a unique concept that makes this puzzle stand out in all the right ways.

The story is just as gripping as the gameplay, and it centers around a young man named Charlie Blackmore. It’s the smallest Russian stacking doll in its region, but don’t be fooled by its small size. He has the heart of a champion and will stop at nothing until he can save his family from the evil antagonist in this game named Baron.

The developer was not afraid to tackle serious topics in Stacking Is. It reviews the harsh realities of child labor and the effects it can have on a family. Serious tones blend in an interesting way with the more bubbly and cartoonish visuals.

That being said, the wacky animations add a lot of humor to the game so that players don’t have to stray too far from the rails with serious tones. Stacking is just meant for gamers to have fun and maybe appreciate the concept of family and staying together.

And if you’re hesitant to play with stacking dolls because the gameplay seems to be getting stale, you’re in luck because each doll moves and behaves differently. It keeps the excitement alive from start to finish.

Overall, Stacking is a unique action puzzle that needs to be explored and played endlessly. Later in December, Xbox Live Gold members don’t have to make a lot of sacrifices to get their hands on a title that has a lot of personality and distinct elements.

Every Xbox One compatible game will work on the Xbox Series X & S

The full extent of Xbox Series X and Series S backwards compatibility was revealed in a tweet from Jason Ronald, director of program management at Xbox.

While the PlayStation 5 will focus solely on PlayStation 4 compatibility, the Xbox Series X / S will run all Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One games currently playable on the Xbox One at launch. The only exception is for games that require the use of a Kinect camera to function.

So even if you won’t be able to read your copy of Fable: The Journey, there are still many other (much better) options around.

If you have a dusty old copy of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell on Xbox, for example, you will be able to try it on the next generation. You can even play through Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, if you really wanted to. However, not all Xbox and Xbox 360 games are backward compatible yet. In fact, there are many notable omissions. You’ll need to check out this list to see if your favorite game makes the cut on Xbox Series X and Series S.

The Xbox team is actively working to close the backward compatibility gap between the Xbox Series X / S and previous consoles, so if your favorite game isn’t available yet, there’s still a chance it could be upgraded. next generation of consoles.

Ronald said in his tweet that all backward compatible games “will look and feel better” on the next generation, likely referring to the faster load speeds and improved graphics of the Xbox Series X and S (although the exact details are not yet clear). still unclear).

This is great news for anyone looking to upgrade to the next generation without leaving the older generation behind. If you want to trade in your Xbox One console, now you know that all your games will work on the new console.

It’s also a very different approach to what you’ll find on the PlayStation 5, which is only compatible with “most” PlayStation 4 games. (There are currently 10 PlayStation 4 games that will not work on the PlayStation. 5.)

For anyone buying an Xbox Series X or S this year, there will be plenty to play on the next generation of consoles, regardless of new titles being delayed next year.

The curse of the pharaohs in Egypt? A worker has a strange encounter after disturbing the tomb of Saqqara | World | New

Said to be cast on anyone who disturbs the burial of an ancient Egyptian, especially a pharaoh, the curse is considered by many to bring bad luck, disease or death. When Howard Carter made the astonishing discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in the Valley of the Kings, reports claimed that KV62 was engraved with “death will come on swift wings to one who disturbs the king’s peace.” Whether the curse was real or not, the promise was kept when Lord Carnarvon – the man who sponsored Mr Carter’s excavation – died four months later, as did six archaeologists.

New Netflix documentary “Secrets of Saqqara’s Tomb” reveals the story of the “once in a generation” discovery of the tomb of Wahtye, who served under the Third King of the Fifth Dynasty – Pharaoh Neferirkare.

During the excavations, led by a team of Egyptian archaeologists, workers also discovered a well filled with mummified animals believed to be dedicated to the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet.

And worker Hamada Shehata Ahmed Mansour, who was the first to be lowered into the well, told viewers: “I want to tell you something.

“Ever since I started working in this necropolis of cats, when cats see me around my house, they run. They are afraid of me.

“They don’t act like pets to me anymore like they used to.

“But when the cats run, I tell them ‘you have the right.

“’I just took your ancestors out of the ground and put them in storage.’

“Maybe they’re afraid that I will do the same to them.”

The tombs were discovered at Bubasteum, a temple complex dedicated to Bastet in the cliff of the desert border of Saqqara.

Professor Ikram went on to explain how these animals could attain the level of divinity equal to the gods worshiped by the ancient Egyptians.

She added, “During his lifetime this creature would be treated like a God, fed, watered and prayed.

“People would make offerings to this creature.

“They gave amulets and statues made of wood, stone, earthenware and even bronze.

“But they would also give animal mummies because the idea was that if you made a blood sacrifice to God, it would mean more than something made of wood or stone.

“Where the Bubasteion was built, there were a lot of old tombs that had been cut down, so the priest would take them and bury them in mass graves – that’s what we find today.”

The new documentary, which premiered around the world today, follows the journeys of workers who have discovered more than 3,000 artifacts, helping piece together the secrets of what has been called “the most important discovery of the world. ‘Egypt for almost 50 years’.

The team has decoded the burial of the most decorated tomb ever found at Saqqara, dedicated to Old Kingdom priest Wahtye.

Director James Tovell said: “It has been an exciting time for the whole world.

“The shooting of this film was an experience full of exciting surprises. Working with an Egyptian team that has a deep connection to their ancestors made the project even more unique.

Transporting audiences through the millennia, the film offers a unique and unprecedented window into the life – and death – of a man and his family.

His release comes after the Egyptian government announced the discovery of more than 80 sarcophagi at the same site last week, just two weeks after 59 more were also found.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Khalid el-Anany, said in a statement that archaeologists had found the collection of colorful and sealed coffins that were buried more than 2,500 years ago.
