Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have responded on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they witnessed against Chelsea tonight.
Tottenham gave the home side the advantage in the fourth minute of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg when a bad pass from Japhet Tanganga saw Kai Havertzn sneak past Emerson Royal and saw his shot turned into his own net by Davinson Sanchez.
Antonio Conte would certainly have hoped for a better start to the cup match, his side having failed to do anything in the last third of the pitch and the traffic was one-sided.
Chelsea added an absolutely ridiculous second when Tanganga attempted to head the ball back onto the pitch from a free kick in the box, only for the ball to shoot at Ben Davies and into the back of the net by Hugo Lloris.
Here is a selection of reactions from some other Spurs fans during the first 45 minutes of action under the lights of Stamford Bridge, with their side currently losing 2-0.
Tanganga needs a loan more than Rodon. Has done wonders for Skipp and could for him too

Have Conte and Levy ever had their meeting to discuss transfer goals ???
No rush guys! There is only one week left and 3 weeks of transfer window remaining. ??– Aren (@ArensTruths) January 5, 2022
Play Harry Winks in the second half. We urgently need to sign two attacking wingers and another center-forward.

We were awful. Something different is needed in the second half. Lost all battles except the one in the stands. The fans were brilliant.

I’ve seen ghastly full backs in my 40s watching these clowns. Royal is among the worst.

Our performance is bordering on indescribable, you would have no idea that this is a semi-final. #THFC

For someone who claims to desperately want to win things, Harry Kane likes to play like he’s hungover in big cup games for Spurs. We were horrible, it’s true, but his movements and efforts are nonexistent. #thfc
