Everton considering free agent Rogic

Frank Lampard is reportedly considering signing free agent Tom Rogic for Everton.

The Lowdown: Kudus First?

Times reporter Paul Joyce shared that the Goodison Park side are close to signing attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus on loan from Ajax, on a permanent deal.

He would be their sixth signing of the summer transfer window so far, after James Tarkowski, Ruben Vinagre, Dwight McNeil, Conor Coady and Amadou Onana.

The latest: Rogic considered

According The daily record‘s Live Transfer Blog (10.30am), Lampard is also ‘considering’ a move for Rogic to add to those attacking midfield ranks. He left Celtic as a free agent at the end of last season.

However, interest in the Australia international is seen as ‘high’ and he is ‘eager’ to sign quickly for a new club to best prepare them for the FIFA World Cup in winter.

The verdict: no brainer

To get someone from Rogic live on a free transfer is surely a no-brainer for the Merseyside club.

Greeted like a ‘special‘ player by The Athletic’s Celtic correspondent Kieran Devlin, and a ‘Wizard‘ by Hoops legend Chris Sutton, Rogic enjoyed a stellar career at Celtic Park, scoring 46 goals and providing 49 assists in 272 appearances for the club (transfer market), winning a stunning 17 trophies along the way.

Adding both Kudus and Rogic would really add some trickery to the Toffees midfield, and could even cover a lack of striking options up front.
