BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice and Rose Ayling-Ellis can’t hold hands on tour

Strictly Come Dancing winners Giovanni Pernice and Rose Ayling-Ellis were seen touching this week at the launch of the Strictly Tour.

EastEnders star Rose and her professional dance partner Giovanni were pictured with their arms around each other during the first week of the tour on Thursday night (January 20).

The couple were seen cuddling as they returned to their hotel in Birmingham, and Giovanni was pictured with his arm around Rose as the pair walked together.

The dance duo were a fan favorite throughout last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, wowing viewers with their incredible routines.

Rose was the first deaf contestant to compete on Strictly, and over the weeks the pair practiced together, Giovanni choreographed beautiful dances to include poignant silent sections.

The couple even learned to work together without the help of an interpreter.

As a dance crew, they had a clear chemistry, and it wasn’t long before rumors swirled about a romance between the two of them, especially after Giovanni split from girlfriend Maura Higgins in 2021.

However, the rumors were later dismissed as mere rumors as Rose has been with her boyfriend Samuel Arnold for seven years.

Not only are the couple much loved, it was reported in December, but Samuel is also Rose’s biggest supporter on the hit BBC show, often seen cheering her on in the audience.

Strictly’s highly anticipated month-long tour kicked off last week, wowing crowds at their first show in Birmingham last weekend.

Rumors of a romance between the couple were quashed last year

Rose and Giovanni have joined a star-studded host of other pros and celebrities, who have been busy rehearsing their routines for the launch of the 33-date UK tour.

AJ Odudu was unfortunately forced to pull out of the tour due to a foot injury sustained in training which also kept her out of the Strictly final but was replaced by EastEnders star Maisie Smith, who was a finalist in the previous series.

However, the Live Show was not without its drama on the dance floor, as this weekend’s runner-up Tilly Ramsay also succumbed to a knee injury after falling during a performance, while Rose fell down the stairs.

Gordon Ramsay’s daughter posted a photo of her ‘war injuries’ on Instagram, and fellow dancer Maisie Smith also shared footage of the fall, joking that Tilly looked like a ‘long jump champion’ .
